Image posting policy & shortening hyperlinks.

Postby Kul » Tue Mar 20, 2007 10:35 am

This forum uses an image posting policy. This is enforced throughout the forum.

Please read.

Signature pictures

Must only be 400(w) x 100(h) pixels, anything else will be removed without warning.

Image

This does not mean 300 x 150 or 415 x 90 or anything where one dimension is longer...

You can use this website to check the size of your signature picture - click here

Avatars

Must only be 100 x 100 pixels and not animated, again anything else will be removed without warning and your avatar feature will be disabled to prevent future use. So, it's in your interests to make sure your avatar you want to use meets the criteria.

Pictures

Please can you make sure that any images you post, are within the 800 x 600 guidelines. We understand the newbies tend to make this mistake and we are grateful to those members who advise them on our behalf. Lately, we have seen the older more established members, doing it more and more; and by large margins.

Ebay links

Even though we have the code explained in the FAQ section and we have members showeing other member how to do it, there are a huge amount of ebay links everyday, that we have to shorten on your behalf. Whilst this may not sound like a big deal, by the time we send a PM to those involved, then have a discission as to why we're doing it via their reply, it takes up far too much of our time, for what is a rudimentary inclusion of some forum code.

For those who have not seen the FAQ, here is what you do.

It even tells you how to do it when replying to, or creating a new post

Any future examples will be deleted when found. No disabling code and no PM's.

By helping out with the above, you are saving the mod team a lot of time and hassle. You are also maintaining the easy to read and professional look of the site. It only takes a little effort, but it goes a long way.

Thanks for reading and your support
