Got my V1 Gear knob and Handbrakes last week... fitted it on Saturday and all I can say is... can't take my hand of that knob now LOL

Right then folks, after a lot of umming about and then getting a bill for a now ex-gf
I sorted myself out, with the help of Bilal a V1 SS gearknob and leather condom.

At first glance, I was in love, no, there was no sexual motives at all, before you bummers jump in
The quality of the gearknob was just awe inspiring, from all of the other gearknobs out there on the
market, a lot are utter shite, but this one, well, took the words out of my mouth.
I handed it around a few people to get their opinion (only one being a BMW owner) and they were well
taken by the quality of the gearknob. The finish is just so sweet and perfect, the engraving done wil
such finesse, the leather condom made by John (Sleeper) fits so well (it's a right tight fit folks).

Anyway.. on to today.

Sat outside on a bright sunny lunchtime, but freezing some what, I got sat in the car with my bro, helper
with getting the fecking BM knob off! well, we found previously a simple technique, without having to pull
like a lunatic with the possible chance of turning oneself into a battered panda, but we couldn't find the mole
grips so monkey wrench was employed alongside Mr Screwdriver, couple of moments and with me giving one
little pull on the knob, off it come, no injuries sustained here folks

On went the V1 SS gearknob, with such ease and laziness.. so simple, then on slipped the leather condom.
Went for a quick drive, and okay, I have issues with my gear selector, but with that aside, the gear changes
were so much better, the feel of the movement was a massive improvement, slotting gear's was so much better
than before.

It's a joy to have!! and if you don't have one of these Storm Motorworks Gearknobs, then you should be ashamed!
Get one now and feel the difference, it's not always about speed and performance. Remember that!

I bought my V1 gearknob and handbrake lever a while back now and remember distinctly feeling like I had bought my car a new lease of life!

The gearchanges were immediately transformed in my 318iS from a light flick to a whole hearted shove, hitting home with a "schlick!"

The pieces are absolutely flawless in their machining and refract light in the most pleasing manner. Two years on from buying my parts I remember sitting in the car being mesmerized by how well the stainless steel finish had handled two years worth of palming and throwing around, literally not a scratch in sight!

To get an idea, here are some pictures taken this past summer:




The bad news: I sold my car.
The good news: I've replacd it with an M3 and now I get a chance to try out Storm's other products!

I received my titanium finish V1 Gear knob and Handbrake handle last week. It only took a week for it to get to me here in Australia. I fitted it over the weekend; a relatively easy task really.

Bilal: Thanks mate, this is one GREAT product. It looks brilliant and the build quality and fit is supreme. My E36 M3 Evo has a short shifter and the notchiness of the shift is much improved due to the extra weight of the gear knob - that is good!

This is quality with a capital Q. I'm sorry it took me so long to place my order!

Sad as it may sound i havent got around to fitting my handbrake and button yet, but i would take it out of the box the odd time just to hold and look at it and i cant get over how amazing the quality is, looks incredible too...

I fitted the V1 gearknob in the car a year ago and it just slides into gear with minimal pressure, this along with the handbrake/button and cigarette plug are quite possibly the 3 best mods ive done to the car...

Little money for big rewards...

Another big to Bilal for a couple of things:

1. The V1 gearknob is superb - just get one!
2. Great service and customer care - my Evo had an Inspection 2 at Storm recently, and is running beautifully as a result. Friendly yet professional service and a great set-up will mean I'll definitely be back.

Got my titanium V1 gearknob, handbrake and cigarette lighter blank this morning - fantastic quality and took all of 2 mins to fit all three - actually took longer to fit the supplied sticker

Look superb and the gearknob has shortened the throw even more than it already was

I received my V1 Gearknob, Handbrake & mock cig lighter yesterday so I thought I'd leave a review.

I don't typically fork out £165 for items like this, but after first of all seeing them in the flesh, then actually using them, I'm so glad I did.

The gearknob has HIGHLY improved the feel of the gearbox; to the extent that it feels like a different car. Amazing what a bit of balanced weight can do.

All the items are astonishingly well crafted and good looking, and have hugely impressed my mates.

Just wanted to write a quick post show my appreciation for your fantastic product - as I purchased an engraved V1 on wed (albeit second hand from a forum member).

Pulled my standard gearknob off today and put the V1 on (still yet to tighten the grub screws at the bottom, so its just sitting loose).

There's nothing I can really add to the great reviews that you've already had, just a "+1" from me I guess. Fantastic looking/feeling product and makes changing gear more of a pleasure. Thanks!
